Fine Blanking
Division
Fine Blanking
WHAT IS FINE BLANKING?
It is a blanking process capable of producing highly precise, orthogonal cutting surfaces with limited surface defects. Expensive machining operations are thus reduced or even eliminated. The blanking process makes it possible to work materials with thicknesses ranging from a few tenths of a millimeter up to 15 mm and with high mechanical characteristics.

Our
DEPARTMENTS
Malvestiti is equipped with one of the most complete fine blanking departments, capable of meeting all customer needs thanks to the range of presses available, production flexibility and internal optimization of dies.
The fleet of presses is of the latest generation with feeding systems optimized to manage every thickness and quality of raw materials. The presses are served by automatic systems for extracting and unloading pieces, as well as handling bins with AGVs.
Each plant is monitored by the MES system and production and traceability data are managed by the ERP system.
FINE BLANKING
DEPARTMENT
Presses from 160T to 1,550T with additional forces for the production of parts with the simplest or very complex geometries (half-blanking on several levels, bends, coining).
MAINTENANCE
DEPARTMENT
Dedicated maintenance department with highly qualified personnel to carry out complex work on the dies.

LHC ACCELERATOR
Cern IN GENEVA
Case History
MALVESTITI AND CERN IN GENEVA FOR THE ACCELERATOR THAT HAS REVOLUTIONIZED PARTICLE PHYSICS
A collaboration spanning thirty years always looking to the future. Malvestiti has been collaborating on particularly complex projects with CERN in Geneva since 1992. In particular, after winning an international tender, the group designed, developed, and produced 15 million collars for the magnets of the famous 27km-long particle accelerator. One of their kind in the world, our sintered steel collars, blanked with the highest precision (and a tolerance of 2 hundredths of a millimeter) have passed the strictest tests and inspections, guaranteeing the duration and performance required.
